1.Smell Test
Principle: PVC sports flooring is made of polyvinyl chloride and carefully selected non-radioactive marble powder. All added ingredients are completely non-toxic and non-radioactive, free of any heavy metals.
Operation: Put your nose close to the surface of the PVC sports flooring and smell it, checking for any pungent odor.
Judgment: The weaker the odor, the better the quality. If a strong pungent smell is detected, harmful substances may have been added to the flooring, indicating poor quality.
2.Elasticity Press Test
Principle: High-quality PVC sports flooring has a soft texture. Its structure incorporates a glass fiber reinforcing mesh and high-strength polyester grid reinforcement layer, delivering excellent elasticity.
Operation: Press the flooring by hand on both the top and bottom surfaces, and observe its elastic recovery performance.
Judgment: If the elasticity of the top and bottom surfaces is similar and the rebound is fast, the flooring is of superior quality. Flooring with poor elastic recovery is prone to damage during service.
3.Light Irradiation Test
Principle: The surface of premium PVC sports flooring undergoes special treatment. It matches the brightness of lighting, without light absorption or glaring reflection, so it can better protect athletes’ eyes.
Operation: Shine a light on the flooring surface and check for light absorption or dazzling reflection.
Judgment: Flooring with glaring surface reflection is of poor quality. If the light appears soft with neither light absorption nor dazzling reflection, the flooring has good quality.
4.Light Scratch Test for Wear Resistance
Principle: High-quality PVC sports flooring is covered with a transparent wear-resistant top layer with high wear revolutions.
Operation: Gently scratch the flooring surface with a fingernail and check whether the surface remains intact.
Judgment: An intact surface indicates good wear resistance and high quality. If the surface gets scratched easily, its wear resistance is poor and quality is inferior.
5.Water Drop Test for Anti-slip and Moisture-proof Performance
Principle: Premium PVC sports flooring does not absorb water. Its surface becomes rougher when wet, featuring excellent anti-slip and moisture-proof properties.
Operation: Drop a few water droplets on the flooring, rub the surface with your hand, and feel its slipperiness.
Judgment: If the surface is not slippery and becomes rougher after contact with water, it has excellent anti-slip and moisture-proof performance. If the surface turns slippery when wet, its anti-slip and moisture-proof performance is poor.
In summary, we can comprehensively evaluate the quality of PVC sports flooring through smell test, elasticity press test, light irradiation test, fingernail scratch wear test and water-drop anti-slip & moisture-proof test. When purchasing, customers are recommended to choose reputable brands and manufacturers to guarantee high-quality PVC sports flooring.
